East City Films proudly collaborated with Trigger Global to bring to life four exclusive areas of the ship through immersive 360 videos: the Bridge, the Galley, the Control Room, and the Celebrity Edge Launches. Filming at the shipyard in Saint Nazaire, North West France, each scene features the actual ship's staff, including the captain and his team in the Bridge, and the talented chefs in the Galley. Meticulously choreographed, each scene seamlessly integrates with a captivating narrative voice-over provided by Richard Fain, Chairman & CEO of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., and Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, Celebrity President & CEO.

Filming the ship before its launch presented a unique challenge, as the ship was moored in a shipyard with windows overlooking cranes and workmen. To overcome this, we skillfully created computer-generated sea and sky, presenting a realistic depiction of the ship sailing the high seas.

The AR app was launched in November, coinciding with Celebrity Edge's maiden voyage, and offers passengers a comprehensive tour guide of the ship. From a 3D augmented reality version of Richard welcoming you on board to spatial audio tours of The Grand Plaza, Theatre, Eden, and the Rooftop Garden, our immersive 360 videos enhance the entire experience.
